Tom Ellison

Tom edits every page on jackpot-6000.org. His rule is simple: if a figure cannot be checked at an official source, it does not go on the site.

What Tom does on this site

Tom writes and reviews the guides to Jackpot 6000: how to play, RTP and payouts, tips and strategy, classic slots, the game's history and real-money play. He also maintains the responsible gambling page and its list of helplines.

His focus is classic slots: three-reel fruit games, Supermeter modes, and what numbers such as RTP and hit frequency mean for an ordinary session.

How he researches a slot

Starts at the developer. RTP, hit frequency, maximum payout, grid, paylines, bet range and release date are taken from NetEnt's official game pages.
Reads the feature descriptions. Rules for features such as Supermeter mode and the double-up are described in the developer's own words, not from memory or from other review sites.
Uses the demo to describe, never to predict. The official demo helps him explain what you see on screen. Demo sessions are never used to suggest how often a game pays or what you are likely to win.
Leaves out what he cannot check. If a paytable or a historical detail is not available from a reliable source, it stays off the page, or it is clearly attributed to whoever makes the claim.

Sources he relies on

Official game pages from NetEnt, and Evolution's pages for company facts.
Regulators such as the UK Gambling Commission and US state gaming regulators for rules on licensing and age.
Help organisations such as GambleAware, GamCare, the National Council on Problem Gambling and Gamblers Anonymous for support information.
Public records, such as Norwegian parliamentary reports, for the history of the game's background.

Every content page ends with the sources used for it and the date the data was checked.

What he will not publish

Promises of winnings, or any suggestion that a strategy can beat a slot.
Invented test sessions, player stories, quotes or reviews.
Casino bonuses, promo codes or rankings of casinos.
Advice on getting around gambling laws, blocks or age checks.
